Originally named Autorama Special, the Reactor is a masterpiece among the concept cars.
The tapered and pointy shape hosts a Chevrolet Corvair’s flat six engine, for a front wheel drive
vehicle. It is equipped with four fully independent self-leveling suspensions, by the innovative 1956, Citroen DS, that allows to be raised and lowered from four inches (10cm) up to nine and a half inches (24cm) to the ground. Both the hood and the doors, as the roof, are electronically opened. Its racing tires are mounted on special wheels to allow a better coolin.

Based on the Ferrari 308 GT4 shape, the Rainbow is an example of an open minded design attitude and experimental language, a signature of Bertone style through years.

The innovation of the Rainbow was the patented manual system that allowed the roof to be easily folded and stored between the passenger and the engine compartment: a stressless transformation from coupé to spider remainig sat.

Starting from the Alfa Romeo Carabo (link all’articolo precedente), Gandini made his on interpretation of Alfa Stradale for Lancia. The lines, the height from the road, the highly engineered solutions had been even more taken to a new astonishing level.
The whole mechanical system were lowered; this solution allowed to design an extremly low-profile wedge shape: only 840 mm from the ground.
To enter the car, a hidden knob, on the front of the car, should have been activated to open the windscreen. The steering wheel, that controlled the doors opening system from the inside, could rotate to allow the driver to easily sit.
On the back, the ring-shaped lights encircled the radiator.On the front, a single bright strip enlighted the road to the future.

The 22 design awards winner concept car, was presented for the very first time in the 1970 at the Geneve Car Show and chosen to rapresent the high Italian design during the Expo in Osaka.
The astonishing shape had instead futuristic and futuristic solutions. The frame has no door: the entire upper shell slides forward to allow the driver to reach the cockpit; every single button is on a sphere near the driver and the shifting gear on his right. These atypical solutions are possible tank to the width of that car: 2040 mm.

The American tycoon James Glickenhaus, owner of the SCG (Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus) bought the Modulo, during the 2014, for an unknown amount.
From the future past of the 70s, to the Turin Car Show.
Starting from the Volkswagen Porsche 914 chassis, Bertone squashed it to the ground; nothing remains of it. Just the coat of arms of the state of Württemberg on the front of the car. And a beak shape. Both the doors and the engine compartment had a gull wings system opening. This is possible thanks to a charming central-cross structure that holds the doors hingles and becomes rollbars.
The engine is far from the ordinary 1.7 lt which the 914 were equipped with; Bertone chose a muscular 2.4 lt that unleashed 220 hp at 7200 gpm
The front lights disappear under the hood as the Porsche myth imposes.

The unique model has been bought by a Spanish industrialist that used to drive it daily. During a strike, a group of labor activists put a bomb under the Tapiro, destroying the car but not the chassis, now exposed in the Italdesign Museum.
